Collection: Sept/Oct. Temp: 120 – 160 degrees F.

Constituents: 40% inulin, essential oil – helenin, muchilage, triterpenes, bitter principle.

Actions: Expectorant, antitussive, diaphoretic, stomachic, antibacterial.

Uses: Irritating bronchial cough (exp. children), emphysema, asthma, bronchitic asthma, tuberculosis. Stimulating for digestion and appetite.
